This is the story of why Kitoro exists.

We quit our teaching jobs to build learning software that inspires kids across the DACH region and beyond. We spent years coding, designing, and teaching ourselves everything. No investors at first. No business plan. Just two teachers who thought kids deserved better digital learning.

It worked. We won awards. Got into hundreds of schools. Teachers loved it. Kids actually wanted to learn. We were doing what we set out to do.

And then reality hit.

Turns out building a great product is maybe 30% of running a company. The rest? Marketing. Sales. Content. Follow-ups. Support. The stuff that makes you want to throw your laptop out the window.

We paid CHF 15,000 for a marketing person who never really got it. Spent nights writing LinkedIn posts instead of improving the product. Learned what "nurture sequences" and "content calendars" meant. Became mediocre marketers instead of doing what we actually loved: inspiring kids to learn.

That's when we realized: every founder goes through this. Every builder gets buried in the growth machine. Every creator becomes their own marketing department.

So we built Kitoro. Because no one should have to go through that.
